Even More Mail Hassles

I found out today that they did not put in the order to forward the mail under US Life Care, only under my actual name. (argggh!). The Bensalem post office is really messed up. I never had any issues with the old abington post office.

The woman on the phone told me I could do the forwarding on the internet on usps.com. not sure why no one told me this fact before?!!!?? They charge $1 to do a change of address/forwarding online, but after all the previous hassles I just wanted to get it done and forwarded already.

also, she said since it was in house (we are still in bensalem) she would have the mailman, Marty, send over my mail until its officially forwarded. why didn't they do this when I was there on January 12th!!!

OY VEY. I will be so happy to never have to deal with these bozos again in the Bensalem post office.

Hopefully by next week the mail starts showing up at the new office and I did not lose anything important.

Business cards update

went to pick up the 3 sets of cards. One set was messed up, the type set had missing spots. also, the bottom line with address had too small a font. the messed up set will be re-done for free, and i sent back my set, which technically was OK, but am having it re-done with the bottom line in a bigger size font. thye charged me $20 extra. I took Ron Brown's cards- we have to meet up with him to give them to him, and to have him do more wheelchair demo shows now that he has cards.

More leads to follow

We have a few leads for more electric wheelchair sales:

1. patient that we just delivered his chair-says his cousin wants a chair

2. Murray's aunt

3. another customer who called from an old ad but does not have medicare, so needs to switch

update: called pts wife and told her about our "finders fee." hopefully that motivates her to not only talk to the cousin but others as well. she said she would call if/when she gets thier info.

Murray's wifes aunt: wants scooter, not sure about ins.

Marketing wheelchairs: Bucks County

Manny and I decided that besides the sales reps, we would try to set up our own marketing demonstrations...I will make the calls to set it up, and he will do the in service.

I have a list of 40 assisted living places in Bucks County, so will start more aggressively calling and trying to set up some demonstrations.

We have a wheelchair that we can show, since the customer didn't want it, and then in a few weeks have a pending customer we will use it for, so no loss of revenue.

Mail hassles

I had a major mail crisis this week with the local Bensalem post office.

I discovered Tuesday jan. 9th that the mailman had sent all my mail back from the past 7-9 days (not sure exactly)...later found out that this was under Glenn's direction. I had been having a few weeks long battle with them over holding my mail, because I moved right after having my mail held for vacation. if I had known the headache they would have given me, i would have resumed my mail for the one week after my vacation, and thne had it held again on the 15th.

anyway, the big nightmare is that in the mail sent back was over $4000 worth of checks from secondary payers. what makes the mailman a bigger jerk, is that he KNEW there were checks in there. They also knew the situation and why it was being held - because I was waiting for medicare to change my address, and medicare does not allow its mail to be forwarded.

I spent many many long hours both on the phone, and then writing and faxing to the various insurance companies, all to try and get those checks either re-maled or re-issued.

I will update when and if I ever see those checks and that money...hopefully I do get the checks back at some later date.

Office phone hassles

I had some major hassles with the office phone at the new office that took about 3 weeks or more to get taken care of, but thankfully all is resolved, and also it didn't cost me one cent. The phone lines are forwarded and all is taken care of.
